The Venue

Located in the Mediterranean Island of Malta, on the southern coastal village of Kalkara, Villa Bighi is one of the finest examples of 17th Century neo-classical architecture on the Islands. Villa Bighi affords breath-taking views of the natural harbour of Valletta. It has been a focal point in the historical development of the Maltese Islands, due to its ample size for ships to enter and moor as well as it’s geographical importance in the middle of the Mediterranean.

The 17th century neo-classical Villa Bighi is located in the Malta’s South Eastern village of Kalkara, which forms part of the inner harbour area. The village was named after the Latin word for lime (Calce), due to the lime kiln in the area which is thought to date back to Roman times.
